Problems


Standard Casting Machines


  • Can't produce quality positive grids

  • Grid thickness > 0,7mm

  • Pure lead at only low speed without side frames; deformation

  • Punch and Expanded machines

  • Require expensive strip caster with corrosion causing high calcium alloy

  • Create scrap punch out to be re-melted

  • Lugs, frames and matrix are all one thickness; need wide lugs

  • Require thick over-pasting
